The Grounds at Duffield
Duffield House sits in 8 acres of land with beautiful tranquil gardens directly behind the house. Our patio area and gardens are popular for outdoor events in the spring and summer with enough space for activities and games and outdoor entertainment. We cater for marquee events in our grounds, either in our gardens using Duffield House as a backdrop or we have a second area available for marquee events for over 500 guests, this is a large secluded area located just behind our gardens.
We allow fireworks at Duffield House and we have an approved fireworks supplier called Star Fireworks.
Marquee Events at Duffield House
Duffield House offers two areas for marquee functions depending on your guest numbers and whether you are looking to use the house as well as a marquee
Duffield House and Gardens:
This option gives you exclusive use of Duffield House and the Gardens. Inside Duffield House you can use the Function Suite including the bar and you can hire our Display Room for a Civil Ceremony. The Gardens in front of Duffield House can host marquees for up to 500 guests and depending on size and requirements a 1 to 2 day set up period will be required.
*Available for weddings on Saturdays and Sundays (with marquee build and removal on Fridays and Mondays)
Secluded Area Behind the House and Gardens (no access to the house):
The large secluded area behind Duffield House and the gardens can host marquees for over 500 guests, the set up and
breakdown time required will depend on the size of the marquee and will be advised. Hire costs below have been based on a 1 day set up and 1 day breakdown therefore costs will vary if more time is required. *Available for weddings on Saturdays and Sundays (with marquee build and removal midweek)
